Overview

The purposes of the Canadian Glass Association are as follows:

• To encourage, promote and support the advancement of the glass industry and the efforts of all glass association members in Canada.
• To encourage discussion amongst members of the association on all matters pertaining to the industry and distribution of all information that can be useful to all associations.
• To encourage and assist the apprenticeship programs and other educational programs beneficial to the industry.
• To communicate with other glass associations and to seek new ideas and improvements this can be beneficial to the industry.
• To promote the safety of all employees in the glass industry.
• To promote the association to other related associations, such as National Glass Association, Canadian Construction Association, and Construction Specifications Canada.
• To promote and encourage formation of glass associations in Canada not already represented by a provincial or regional association.
• To encourage and promote the use of provincial glazing specifications manuals and other related provincial building codes.
• To promote the Canadian Glass Association to the Federal Government of Canada.
• To promote the Canadian Glass Association’s participation in national building code amendments.
